Crochet4Care is a new initiative born from a passion for crafting and a desire to help our local community based in Nassau County, Long island, NY. We’re in the early stages of transforming our ideas into action, and we’re excited to grow with your support.
Our mission at Crochet4Care is to utilize the power of fabric arts to spread meaningful connections within our community. We are dedicated to reaching out to those in need, offering support and comfort through our
handcrafted items made with love and care. Our goal is to spread warmth and joy, one stitch at a time, by providing personalized, handmade creations that remind recipients they are valued and loved.
By combining our passion for the fabric arts with our commitment to care and spread kindness, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in our local ares, weaving a tapestry of support that strenghts the fabric of our community.
Join our regular crochet or knit sessions to create items for donation. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, your creations will bring comfort to those in need.
Your project bin getting too full? Can’t crochet but would still like to help? Contribute pre-made items for us to distribute, or offer small monetary donations. We appreciate you.
We’re planning visits to local facilities to distribute handmade comfort items and engage residents in crochet or knit activities. These initiatives aim to bring smiles, warmth, and creative companionship to those who need it most.
As our volunteer base grows, we aim to organize charity craft fairs to showcase our work and raise funds for our causes.
Create 9-inch "granny squares" - simple, quick-to- make patches that we'll combine into beautiful blankets and quilts for donation.
Create or donate handmade hats, scarves, and assorted warm weather wear for local homeless shelters.
Crocheting stuffed animals for children in need. This project provides cute handmade toys that offer emotional support and shows you care.
Create bookmarks and book cozies for public libraries and local school reading programs.
Create little hats for neonatal intensive care units (NICUS) in hospitals.
